Dr Aron Mifsud Bonnici
Advocate in Malta since 1997. I advise executives on negotiated exits and employers on workforce restructuring.
Profile
I read law at the University of Malta, where I obtained a Diploma of Notary Public in 1995 and the degree of Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) in 1997, the year I became an advocate.
In 2003 I founded my own practice, covering employment, commercial and regulatory work, and I have led it since. Since 2000 I have also been the independent employment law expert to Malta's largest trade union, which has meant extensive work at the Industrial Tribunal and in collective bargaining.
From 2019 to 2024 I sat as an observer member of the Malta Employment Relations Board, which advises the Government on employment law and policy.
I have negotiated improved terms for the employees affected by collective redundancies at several local and international companies, such as NetEnt and Evolution Gaming, Carlo Gavazzi and Microtek.
I have acted for employees and their representatives, and for employers. I now bring that experience to two kinds of work: executives negotiating their exits, and employers restructuring their workforce.
I work mostly online. When a meeting helps, we meet in Valletta or at your offices. How I work explains the rest.
